🏭 Where They Were Built

  • Originally built by Piper Aircraft in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania.

  • Later production moved to Vero Beach, Florida after Piper’s reorganization in the 1960s.

The Piper Tri-Pacer 150, a variant of the Piper PA-22 series, holds a unique place in aviation history as a bridge between tailwheel trainers like the Piper Cub and more modern tricycle-gear touring aircraft. It combined performance, economy, and accessibility in a postwar market that was quickly expanding for private pilots.

🕰️ Years of Manufacture

  • Introduced: 1955

  • Production ended: Around 1960 for the 150 hp model, when the more powerful PA-22-160 replaced it
