Made by a pilot for pilots, the PROP, MIXTURE and FRICTION Control Spheres are manufactured in the USA by Swearingen 3D works of Marion IA., packaged in the USA and distributed by the designer.

The control knobs consists of a 30mm, 3D printed spheres, with embedded letters, scaled from North American engineering plans. The spheres have been made to replace the metal anodized control knobs of the the VANS RV-14 center console throttle quadrants made by Aircraft Specialty or Aerosport (pictured). NOTE: Modifications will be necessary to the quadrant lever lengths and lever angles to provide adequate clearance between control knobs.

The three control knobs, in conjunction with recommended lever modifications, to adequately clear each other in all of their control throws. There are two selections available, a three knob or a two knob combo.. The three knob version is tailored to the RV Aircraft Specialty throttle quadrant with the quadrant FRICTION lever.. The two knob version is tailored to the Aerosport quadrant and contains only the PROP and MIXTURE spheres with embedded letters P and M respectively. Each version is select-able at the point of sale.

•  The PROP sphere is made from tough ecologically friendly, 3D printer BLUE PLA, coated in clear urethane, with an embedded letter “P”, clocked to center-line and 45 degrees from vertical.

• The MIXTURE spheres is made from 3D printer RED PLA, coated in clear urethane, with an embedded letter “M”, clocked to center-line and 45 degrees from vertical.

•  The FRICTION control knob is a truncated sphere, with tactile indentations to differentiate it by feel from the PROP and MIXTURE spheres. It is made from, 3D printer BLACK PLA, coated in clear urethane, with an embedded letter “F”, clocked to center-line and 90 degrees from vertical.

  Shown within the pictures is the various control knobs installed on the lever sizing gauge measuring 0.748 in. width by 0.123 in thickness. The gauge is provided to provide the customer a sizing template for his/her control lever modifications. This sale is for the PROP, MIXTURE and FRICTION knob only and is not sold with throttle quadrant levers .
