Made by a pilot for pilots, the “P-47 Thunderbolt” Throttle Grip with SMOKE & PTT is manufactured in the USA by Swearingen 3D works of Marion IA., packaged in the USA and distributed by the designer. Everything you order is prepared just for you, only after you order. Upon order, your configuration options are checked and incorporated, final assembly completed, and continuity checks performed to assure the value and performance I have designed for you.

The throttle grip consists of a 4.12 inch 3D printed P-47 throttle stick grip, scaled from Republic engineering plans. The throttle grip has been made to be compatible with the VANs RV-3, -4, and -8 /8A throttle quadrants CT-42F, CT-43F and CT- 82F, 83F and 81R (as pictured). The throttle grip is sized to adequately clear the PROP lever and ball, while still retaining the throttle ergonomics of the original VANs throttle quadrant. The push-to-talk (PTT) and SMOKE rocker switches are contained within the throttle grip, and are both operated by the pad of the left-hand thumb. You additionally have the option to choose the switch orientation of the SMOKE rocker switch. FWD is standard, AFT is a no-cost option.

This is a throttle grip that provides a remove and replace option to your CT series of VANs throttle quadrants. It comes complete with a functionally tested and wired PTT and SMOKE switches. (RV-4 CT-43F Throttle quadrant shown in pictures, not included in sale).

Both the Mixture and Prop spheres are sold separately and function as options to your purchase of the P-47 Grip.

The switch LED, indicates that the switch is switched to SMOKE and applying 12VDC to the Smoke system pump.

SMOKE rocker switch orientation comes standard in a ON/FWD configuration. Switch orientation ON/AFT is also available as an option.

PTT switch and SMOKE rocker switch are mounted within the Throttle grip, wired and provided with 20 inches of 22 AWG, Shielded TEFZEL, five conductor, functionally tested, 4.13mm OD wire harness.
