Made by a pilot for pilots, the “P- 51 Mustang” Throttle Grip with either SMOKE or PTT is manufactured in the USA by Swearingen 3D works of Marion IA., packaged in the USA and distributed by the designer. Made to order. Upon manufacture, your configuration options are checked and incorporated, final assembly completed, and continuity checks performed to assure the value and performance I have designed for you.

The throttle grip consists of a 1.5 inch (38mm) 3D printed P-51 throttle sphere, scaled from North American engineering plans. The throttle grip has been made compatible with the Vans RV-3, -4, and -8 /8A throttle quadrants CT-42F, CT-43F and CT- 82F, 83F and 81R (as pictured). The throttle grip is sized to adequately clear the prop lever and PROP control ball while still retaining the throttle ergonomics of the original Vans throttle quadrant. The push-to-talk (PTT) or SMOKE switch is contained within the throttle grip guarded extension, and is operated by the pad of the left-hand thumb.

The Throttle Grip is available in two finish selections: 1. A high gloss UV cured urethane or; 2. A military flat black UV cured urethane. This is a throttle grip that provides a remove and replace option to your CT series of Vans throttle quadrants. It comes complete with a functionally tested and wired switch.
