Made by a pilot for pilots, the “P- 51 Mustang” Throttle Grip with PTT is manufactured in the USA by Swearingen 3D works of Marion IA., packaged in the USA and distributed by the designer. Everything you order is prepared just for you, only after you order. Upon order, your configuration options are checked and incorporated, final assembly completed, and continuity checks performed to assure the value and performance I have designed for you.

The throttle grip consists of a 1.6 inch 3D printed P-51 throttle sphere, scaled from North American engineering plans. The throttle grip has been made compatible with the Vans RV-3, -4, and -8 /8A throttle quadrants CT-42F, CT-43F and CT- 82F, 83F and 81R (as pictured). The throttle grip is sized to adequately clear the prop lever and PROP control ball while still retaining the throttle ergonomics of the original Vans throttle quadrant. The push-to-talk (PTT) switch is contained within the throttle grip, and is operated by the pad of the left-hand thumb.

The Throttle Grip is available in two configurations to choose from. 1. The standard P-51 Sphere with high definition 3D silver finish or; 2. A military flat black UV cured urethane with a switch guard. This is a throttle grip that provides a remove and replace option to your CT series of Vans throttle quadrants. It comes complete with a functionally tested and wired PTT switch. (RV-4 CT-43F Throttle quadrant shown in pictures, not included in sale).

NOTE: Both the Mixture and Prop spheres are sold separately within the SHOP area of this site and function as options to your purchase of the P-51 Grip.

PTT switch is mounted within the Throttle ball, wired and provided with 20 inches of 22 AWG, Shielded TEFZEL, two conductor, functionally tested wire harness.
