The CONTROL FENCE THROTTLE is a premium throttle grip designed to improve cockpit ergonomics while placing essential controls directly beneath the pilot's thumb. Available in multiple configurations, the CONTROL FENCE THROTTLE allows you to select the switch function that best suits your aircraft and mission.

Choose from:

• SMOKE Configuration – LED-illuminated rocker switch for smoke system control.

• COM Configuration – Paddle switch for COM 1 / COM 2 transmit selection.

Manufactured in the USA by Swearingen 3D Works of Marion, Iowa, every CONTROL FENCE THROTTLE is built specifically for your order. Your selected switch configuration and color options are incorporated during assembly, followed by functional testing and electrical continuity verification to ensure dependable operation before shipment.

The CONTROL FENCE THROTTLE consists of a 3.7-inch 3D-printed grip engineered as a plug-and-play overlay for the flat-blade throttle levers used on Van's RV-3, RV-4, and RV-8/8A throttle quadrants, including models CT-42F, CT-43F, CT-81R, CT-82F, and CT-83F.

The outboard side of the grip incorporates a contoured spherical finger rest, available in the accent color of your choice, providing improved comfort and positive throttle control throughout all phases of flight.

The grip is carefully engineered to maintain clearance with the existing propeller control while preserving the familiar ergonomics of the original Van's throttle quadrant.

The selected switch is mounted within the inboard "Fence" face of the throttle where it naturally falls beneath the pad of the pilot's left thumb. Whether operating the smoke system or selecting COM 1 or COM 2 for transmit, the control can be actuated without changing your grip on the throttle.

The wiring harness exits the aft outboard end of the grip and routes down the forward side of the throttle lever within the supplied heat-shrink tubing. It then enters the throttle race and continues forward for connection to the aircraft electrical system.

Each CONTROL FENCE THROTTLE is finished with a durable cured urethane coating in military flat black for a professional appearance and long service life.

• Compatible with the 0.61 in. width throttle quadrant levers.

• The "CONTROL FENCE THROTTLE Throttle" is made from tough , heat durable, Black 3D printer PETG , with finger rests.

• The outboard face is shaped in a spherical oval for a small finger rest made from a color of your choice in PLA.

• The throttle body is sealed in a cured urethane coating, finished in military flat. The colored finger rests are retained in Gloss, except for Black which is finished military black.

• Per your selection, the throttle grip contains either a FWD or AFT “SMOKE” switch rated as follows:

SMOKE Switch

• Voltage Rating : 12Vdc

• Current Rating 16A (The wire bundle is limited to 5A)

• Switch Type: SPST - OFF-ON

• Tested Life: 10,000 cycles

• Temperature Rating: -20C to 80C

• The switch LED, indicates that the switch has been moved SMOKE and that 12VDC is applied to the Smoke system pump.

• SMOKE rocker switch orientation comes standard in a horizontal ON/AFT configuration. Switch orientation ON/FWD is also available as an option.

• The switch is mounted within the grip, wired and provided with 20 inches of 22 AWG, Shielded TEFZEL, three conductor, functionally tested wire harness.

• COMMS paddle switch orientation comes standard in a horizontal configuration, thus allowing a COMM1 (FWD, COMM2 (AFT) configuration.

• The switch is mounted within the grip, wired and provided with 20 inches of 22 AWG, Shielded TEFZEL, three conductor (3.04 mm), functionally tested wire harness for the (ON)-OFF-(ON) configuration.
